Melanie Gavlick

Office Manager

Melanie joined the PSP Team in 2015 and has enjoyed learning everything there is to know about pathology at PSP. She exemplifies the patient-centered, clinician-centered philosophy of the lab. Melanie is instrumental in ensuring the PSP team works together to successfully achieve its goals. In her spare time, she loves laughing and snuggling with her daughter and 3 cats. She is a Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.

Daniel Wirtz

Chief Marketing Officer

Daniel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and brings his diverse experience in sales, project management and planning to PSP. He possesses persuasive communication skills and shares the PSP value of delivering an elevated level of patient and physician satisfaction. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and the company of his friends and family.

Jesse Shopf

Administrative Assistant/Pathology Transcriptionist

Jesse joined the PSP Team in 2018 and has 25+ years of experience in medical transcription. Jesse is great at multitasking and ensures that the principles of quality, personalized service and rapid turnaround time are adhered to daily. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her 3 dogs. She is an avid horseback rider.

Sharon Thoma

Lead Billing Specialist

Sharon joined the PSP Team as a billing specialist in 2016 and has 10 years of experience in the medical and dental fields. She takes pride in ensuring that our patients and clients are satisfied with our billing principles. Sharon engenders the compassionate care that PSP represents when she deals with the billing concerns of our patients. Outside of the office, Sharon loves spending time with her French Bulldog, Zoey, and her 3 cats.

Keilah Morales

Billing Specialist

Keilah has 11 years of experience in medical billing and deals with our patients’ billing queries in a professional and compassionate manner. Keilah is a skilled professional who enjoys the challenges of the insurance industry. Outside of work, Keilah embraces spending time with her family and being a dedicated mom to her three children.

Cole Harris

Evening Lab Supervisor/Pathologists’ Assistant I

Cole graduated summa cum laude from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology and a minor in Biochemistry. Cole was trained on the job as a surgical pathology assistant. He quickly gained an understanding of the technical aspects of a pathology laboratory, and now functions as the evening lab supervisor. He is a strong cross country and track athlete and a marathon runner.

Kassidy Wright

Office/Lab Assistant

Kassidy joined PSP in July 2024 as an Office/ laboratory assistant. Her responsibilities include laboratory data entry and processing of payments in the billing department. She attended York Technical Institute in 2023 where she received her certification in Medical Billing and Coding. She loves animals and helps with animal rescue and placement in caring homes.

Isaac Ampofo

Lead Pathologists’ Assistant/Laboratory Quality Manager

Isaac is an ASCP certified pathologists’ assistant with 10 years of experience. He has previously worked in multiple large hospital systems in New York, New Jersey, and Louisiana, dealing with complex surgical pathology specimens. He is multifaceted and has dabbled in histology. In addition to ensuring the laboratory quality assurance and quality control, Isaac also trains grossing assistants. In his spare time, Isaac is a musician, writing and performing gospel and R&B music.

Lakesiha Hall

Pathologists’ Assistant I Histology/Immunohistochemistry Technician

Lakeisha joined our grossing and histology team in February 2024 and has received on-the-job training in these two areas of the laboratory. She graduated from Albright College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology/biotechnology. Prior to joining PSP, Lakeisha worked primarily as a microbiology laboratory technician and in a supervisory role. Outside of work, she loves hiking in local nature preserves and spending time with her dachshund, Klaus.

Feseha Weldeyes

Laboratory Technician/Courier

Feseha is the longest member of the PSP team. He joined the lab three months after its inception in 2008 and has been employed as a laboratory technician and courier. Feseha has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and postgraduate diplomas in Marketing and Animal Health. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Isaiah Martinez

Histotechnician I

Isaiah joined the PSP team in 2022 as a histology lab assistant. He has since progressed to an on-the-job trained histotechnician. He plays a key role in organizing and ensuring slides are received by pathologists in a timely manner. Isaiah is also proficient in performing special stains and in immunohistochemistry. Isaiah graduated with an associate’s degree in medical assistance and prior to his change in career to histology, he worked for seven years as a dialysis technician. He is a sports enthusiast and plays golf in his free time.

Timothy Vickroy

Histotechnologist

Tim is an ASCP certified histotechnologist with 43 years of experience. His most recent position before joining PSP was as an immunohistochemistry technician at the Milton Hershey Medical Center. He is our lead immunohistochemistry technician and is responsible for overseeing the introduction of new antibodies as well as maintaining the high quality of our immunohistochemical stains. In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, especially hunting and camping with his son.

Thomas Shoffeitt

Histotechnologist

Tom is an ASCP certified histotechnologist with over 24 years of experience in the field. He has strong expertise in all aspects of histology and is a crucial member of the team, acting as the lead histotechnologist. He first joined the PSP team in 2012, and though his life path led him away for a period, PSP was elated to have him rejoin the histology department. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and children.

Dajuan Robinson

Histotechnologist

Dajuan has spent his entire 13-year career in the pathology laboratory, starting as a lab processing technician and working his way up to a histotechnologist. He worked for several years in the pathology department of the Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore. In addition to being one of our key embedding and microtomy techs, Dajuan is also responsible for overseeing our special stains. He introduces new stains and troubleshoots and ensures the quality of our special stain library. Outside of work Dajuan enjoys spending time with family, attending his kids’ football games, and watching sports.
