At Pennsylvania Specialty Pathology (PSP), we partner with healthcare providers like you to focus our expertise on the operational and technical aspects of diagnostic testing.
We’re your all-in-one TC/PC split provider, making taking care of your patients both easier and faster.
Our state-of-the-art lab is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, and our team is familiar with the TC/PC approach to providing great patient care. We work to provide seamless, high-quality technical services (the TC in TC/PC) for a variety of diagnostic needs, from histology processing to immunohistochemical and special stains.
By partnering with PSP, healthcare providers trust that the foundational technical work of diagnostics is handled efficiently and precisely, allowing you to focus on interpreting results and caring for patients.
At Pennsylvania Specialty Pathology, we specialize in providing the Technical Component (TC) of diagnostic services.
Our process is designed to seamlessly integrate with healthcare providers who manage the Professional Component (PC), focusing our expertise on the operational and technical aspects of diagnostic testing.
When a healthcare provider collects a tissue sample, or needs an immunohistochemical or special stain, we collect the sample or arrange pickup to our state-of-the-art facility in Lancaster, PA. Here, our team of highly trained technicians processes the sample using cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and techniques.
We handle everything from the initial preparation and processing to the detailed execution of the test, making sure that every step is carried out with the highest standards of quality and precision.
Once the technical processing is complete, we return the slides to the healthcare provider. This allows the provider, or a specialist they collaborate with, to perform the Professional Component. They analyze and interpret the data we provide to make a diagnosis and plan further patient management.
This TC/PC split model offers numerous benefits for you and your team as healthcare providers. Healthcare providers can offer advanced diagnostic services without the overhead of maintaining extensive lab facilities and specialized technical staff. It’s not only cost-effective but also increases the accessibility of high-quality diagnostic tests to a broader range of healthcare settings, including smaller clinics or remote areas.
By specializing in the Technical Component, Pennsylvania Specialty Pathology plays a vital role in the diagnostic process for providers like you, enhancing the quality and speed of medical diagnostics.
